Lead with confidence: Engage in our learning sprints

Are you ready to elevate your leadership skills and make a meaningful impact? Our engaging leadership learning sprints offer everyone the perfect opportunity to connect, learn and grow with colleagues across the University.

Running until September 2025, our comprehensive range of online leadership learning sprints are open to all. These interactive sessions delivered by our very own experts and leaders are designed to provide valuable insights and practical tools to elevate your leadership skills.

Whether you're in a formal leadership position or not, these sprints offer a fantastic opportunity for personal and professional growth. They also provide a unique chance to connect with colleagues you might not usually interact with, building a stronger, more collaborative community.

Here’s what some of our colleagues have said about their experiences with recent sprints:

  • “Thank you for today’s session, really helpful as someone new to a leadership role, I will be re-watching as lots of helpful, interesting perspectives to absorb.”
  • “Lauren delivered an excellent session in an approachable, understated way. I appreciated the honesty in her reflections on challenges. This was my first sprint, and I'm really pleased I came. Thank you for organising and thank you to Lauren for being so open.”
  • “It’s great to see Loughborough drawing on its own pool of talent and expertise for these. [sprints]”
  • “Sam was authentic and honest in sharing his experiences and what matters in terms of listening. It was good to hear the importance of listening through observing as well as the obvious communication modes. It is refreshing to hear from a leader who is willing to open up in this way, really demonstrating the University values in practice.”

If you missed Lauren Sherar’s session on ‘Building Trust and Leading with Integrity’ or Sam Grogan’s session on ‘Listen, listen, listen’, you can view the recording and slides here.
