Careers Network: Support for Graduates

Loughborough graduates can continue to access support from the University’s Careers Network team after they have graduated.

Whether looking for employment, further study or to run their own business, they can access one-to-one advice and coaching for up to five years after graduation. This includes help exploring career options, making effective applications and improving interview performance. At this time of year, they are keen to reach out to final year students who may wish to access more intensive support.

Their Graduate Futures support entitles them to:

  • a dedicated careers coach to work with them remotely or in-person
  • the opportunity to receive our graduate careers newsletter, containing a range of job opportunities and events
  • access job vacancies and attend employer presentations, events and careers fairs
  • continued access to the Personal Best skills development app.

For the first time this year, the University is also inviting final year students to share ‘what’s next for them’ and tell us about their first career destination if they have one. This will help us to gain a valuable early insight into where some of our graduates are going, providing useful information for colleagues and students.

So, whether they are fixed up or need further support, we are asking all final year undergraduates to complete our new Career Destinations and Support Survey by Wednesday 16 June.

The Careers Network Team will also be hosting ‘Graduate Futures: Going Places’ on Microsoft Teams on Wednesday 25 June 6pm-7pm. This will help increase confidence about next career steps and knowledge of the careers support and resources available after graduation. Find out more and book a place here.
