These events played a significant role in the next steps of our Education and Student Experience journey and focused on six key themes, which were as follows:
- Teaching, learning, assessment and feedback development
- Future-facing curriculum design
- Coaching-led Ecosystem
- Tech-enabled teaching and learning
- International student experience and support
- 360 Graduating Portfolio
We are currently developing project outlines and leads for each of these themes, and these will be proposed to the Education and Student Experience committee and the Core Plan Board. The intention is that in the autumn, there will be a broader plan identifying timescales of the different projects and how updates will be shared with the wider community.
We understand that not everyone was able to attend these events, and we want to ensure that as many perspectives as possible are included in this process.
In particular, we are looking for contributions from the following groups:
- Colleagues involved in delivering teaching and learning, especially from the following Schools:
- School of Social Sciences and Humanities
- School of Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences
- School of Aeronautical, Automotive, Chemical and Materials Engineering
- Technicians: We already have some strong technical input, but we’re seeking a few more technicians to further strengthen the project teams.
- Students from across all disciplines.
How you can get involved
- Share your feedback informally on any of the themes via this MS Form.
- Share your interest in being part of a project team linked to the six key themes – please email Sammy Chester.
- Contribute your expertise with project teams and/or at future events – please email Sammy Chester.
The deadline to submit your interest is Friday, 1 August. Please note that if you have completed a pledge of action previously, we have recorded this and have assigned groups accordingly.
