Christmas in the Wood

Join LU Arts for a festive walk and performances, where you can enjoy the spirit of Christmas in Burleigh Wood.

All staff and students are invited to the event on 10 December from 1.30pm-2.30pm. This event is free to attend.

This year’s event will begin at the gates of Burleigh Wood with a warm welcome and a glass of non-alcoholic mulled punch and a mince pie by the firepit.

As we make our way along a short circular route through the wood, enjoy seasonal poetry, singing, and music performed by the University Choir and music scholar for 2025/26 Cath Phillips. Arts Collection Curator, David Bell, will share a short talk, and Anglican Chaplain Angela Tarry will lead a short reflection on the meaning of Christmas. We’ll also decorate a tree with handmade decorations made from natural materials.

Book on for Christmas in the Wood.
