UKRI Policy Fellowships – information and Q&A session

The UKRI Policy Fellowships are an opportunity for researchers to undertake 18-month placements with policy host organisations to undertake specific research projects. There are 42 fellowship projects available across 31 host partners. The call formally opened on 22 April.

The scheme is funded by the Research Councils and is open to staff (UKRI runs a separate scheme for doctoral researchers). Policy fellowship opportunities with a UK or devolved government host are aimed at early to mid-career academics. Fellowships with a What Works Network host are open to applicants of all career stages.

Policy Fellowships are a great way to gain experience working with policy organisations, see how research is undertaken and used in policy, and develop your networks.

If you are interested, explore the available projects (outlined in the ‘additional info’ section of the call) and sign up to the UKRI-run applicant webinar on 20 May.

The Policy Unit is also running a question and answer session on 28 May at 10am with Policy Unit Manager Charlotte Hamilton and Professor Mark Monaghan, who is currently a Policy Fellow with the Ministry of Justice.

Please email policy@lboro.ac.uk if you would like to attend, or if you have any questions about the Fellowship opportunities in the meantime.
