Each year, LU Arts commission final-year students from Loughborough's School of Design and Creative Arts (SDCA) to produce a vlog or video diary charting your thoughts and work as you progress towards your Degree Show in June.
They’re looking for at least three final-year students from across SDCA, ideally one student from each subject area: Fine Arts, Graphic Communication and Illustration, Textiles, Design, Industrial Design and Product Design and Technology.
These vlogs are an opportunity to showcase your portfolio of work to a wider audience. They will also share the processes involved behind the scenes to put together work for a show, showcasing the variety of skills required and the associated workload.
The videos can be filmed on your phone and don’t need to have super high production values but should be filmed over the weeks running up to the Degree Show, rather than just being filmed in one go. They should be approximately five minutes long - although LU Arts may produce shortened edits for use on social media.
The videos will be uploaded to the LU Arts YouTube channel and shared on social media to help promote the Degree Show and your work to a wider audience. This can help you as you take your next steps on graduating from Loughborough.
