Following an extensive recruitment process, Liz transitions from her role as Interim CEO to lead the Union into its next strategic phase. Liz brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to enhancing the student experience at Loughborough. As Interim CEO, she has been instrumental in driving initiatives that align with LSU's mission to support and empower its diverse student body.

In her new capacity, Liz will spearhead the development of LSU's 2025-2028 Strategy. This strategic plan aims to address the evolving needs and preferences of Loughborough University’s dynamic student population, ensuring that LSU remains responsive and proactive.

Collaborating closely with student leaders and staff colleagues, Liz is dedicated to embedding and accelerating cultural and operational changes within the Union. These efforts are designed to enhance the overall student experience, fostering an environment where every student can thrive academically, socially, and personally.

Della Freeth, Chair of the Board of Trustees, expressed her enthusiasm for the appointment: "I am delighted that Liz will be LSU’s next CEO, continuing and accelerating the positive trajectory she established while interim CEO, and leading the staff team into the new strategic period."
