The rollout of Windows 11 service, which features a new interface, enhanced performance and security, will happen over the next 18 months.
To help support this change, IT Services is looking for staff across the University who can be Change Champions in their respective departments.
Change Champions will act as conduits between end users and the project team to ensure two-way communication, support, and guidance are available as colleagues transition to the new service. This could also be an opportunity for staff to fulfil a PDR objective.
Tasks will include:
- Championing the new service in your area
- Capturing local information and feeding into the project teams
- Disseminating business-critical information to your colleagues
- Assisting with booking device upgrades and handovers
The project team will be hosting a Microsoft Teams briefing on Monday 25 March at 10.30am. An overview of the service, a rollout schedule, and more details about the role of Change Champions will be discussed in the briefing.
If you’re interested in joining the Change Champions network, please complete the online form.
Staff members who are interested in becoming early adopters can also participate in the pilot stage, with access to the new operating system being made available this summer.
