Students can choose from sessions in dance, improvisational theatre, and a campus sculpture walk.
The series has been timed to coincide with the exam period as the sessions offer a chance to de-stress and take a break from revision and coursework. The full programme of events is:
- Wednesday 17 January: ‘Get into the Bollywood groove - Dance, Drama and Delight! With Riddhi Naik’, 6pm-7.30pm, Martin Hall Theatre. Learn the art of Bollywood dance and explore the vibrant world of Indian cinema. Suitable for all ability levels, the session will combine, fitness, dance and fun.
- Wednesday 24 January: ‘Improvisational Theatre: Fake it till you make it! With Ida Lassing’, 6pm-7.30pm, Martin Hall Theatre. Working as a group you’ll create your own theatre scenes, making it up as you go. Suitable for all ability levels, you’ll develop transferable skills that will help with things like presentations as well as theatre.
- Tuesday 30 January: ‘Campus Sculpture Walk with David Bell’, 1pm-2pm, departs from Shirley Pearce Square by Martin Hall main entrance and ends at Pilkington Library. Join the curator of the University arts collection for a walk around campus, finding out more about some of the sculptures in the collection.
All events are free to attend but must be booked in advance to secure a place. The events will be available to book via the Loughborough Sport app a week in advance of their respective dates.
If you have any specific access requirements, then please contact LUArts@lboro.ac.uk in advance of attending.
