Create and Connect: Get creative with other international students

LU Arts and the International Student Experience Team are running a five-week programme to help international students connect with one another and do something creative in their spare time.

The weekly sessions are a mixture of workshops and self-led arts activities around a weekly theme, run by one of our arts workers. The series runs from 7 February until 13 March from 2pm-3.30pm in the Collaboration Station in the LSU. They are drop-in sessions, so you don’t need to come for the whole time. The series will focus on various themes whilst also encouraging creativity among international students at Loughborough.

  • 7 February: In the first week, immerse yourself in the enchanting theme of 'winter' as you use various materials stocked in the art cart.
  • 14 February: In the second week, delve into the theme of 'love' (for anything) and let your heart guide your creations.
  • 21 February: In the third week, our theme will be England, which is a fantastic opportunity to reflect on what this country means to you and capture it on paper.
  • 6 March: In the fourth week, we will be following in the footsteps of the artist Vincent van Gogh, who was born in March.
  • 13 March: In the final week, we will be delving into Easter fun and looking at getting creative with egg art!

Please email the International Student Team at ise@lboro.ac.uk if you have any questions regarding these sessions.

Although the session is a drop-in you can sign up and receive email reminders and updates on the sessions.
