In the group, 39 staff had commenced work at Loughborough between October 1997 – September 1998, reaching over 25 years of service working for the University.
They were treated to an afternoon tea event and received a certificate and gift voucher as a thank-you from the organisation.
The event was organised by Human Resources and hosted by the Vice-Chancellor Professor Nick Jennings, with other Senior Leadership Team representatives present including Chief Operating Officer Richard Taylor and Provost Professor Chris Linton.
Professor Nick Jennings said: “I was delighted to spend time celebrating with staff who have dedicated 25 years of service to the University. Our annual event was held at the University Stadium, which created a lovely space for this special occasion.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved, but especially to all the staff who have reached such an important milestone – the University looks forward to your continued work for many more years to come.
“Throughout the years, the University has taken great pride in celebrating this special event and as part of Project Expectations, the Long Service Awards will be extended to include other important milestones for our staff community.”
