Staff reminder: Don't forget to book your place for General Assembly

All staff at the University are invited to attend the first General Assembly for the 23/24 academic year which will take place on Wednesday 1 November.

General Assembly, a session which used to be held annually, is a forum for staff from across the University led by the Vice-Chancellor.

The assembly will be delivered in two parts. First, Vice-Chancellor Professor Nick Jennings will provide a brief update on our University Strategy, celebrate our achievements from the last year, and share the priorities for the Term ahead.  This will be followed by a Q&A session with the Vice-Chancellor and Leadership team that all attendees are invited to take part in.

General Assembly will take place from 2pm-3pm on 1 November in EHB104 (Edward Herbert Building). For those who are unable to join in-person, online attendance will be possible via Microsoft Teams.

General Assembly is part of a broader plan of engagement, that looks to bring colleagues from across the University together. Other activities include the Academic Voice Town Halls which were held in September, and the upcoming Professional Services Forum which is taking place on 18 October. General Assembly will provide a further opportunity to engage and provide a platform for all staff to ask questions and share ideas with the University Leadership Team.
