The Enhanced Academic Practice (EAP) Team have recently launched the new Loughborough University Teaching Recognition Scheme (LUTRS) following successful reaccreditation of the scheme with Advance HE.
Your journey to Fellowship is supported through ‘Developing your application’ workshops which can be booked through my.HR, access to resources through our dedicated LEARN page and mentorship from the EAP team.
If you’re not sure what category you fall into, an online tool is available on the Advance HE website to help match you to the most appropriate category. More information about the different categories of fellowship, including eligibility, example roles, and suggested workshops can also be found on the Organisational Development webpages.
If you are interested in finding out more, the team run monthly online Q&A sessions about the Advance HE Fellowships, the next available dates are:
-
Wednesday 15 November, 2pm-3pm
-
Monday 11 December, 10am-11am
These will be held on Microsoft Teams and can be booked via my.HR.
Colleagues who have previously undertaken Fellowship applications have shared their feedback from the experience:
‘The outcome of my participation in the scheme has propelled me to actively engage with scholarly discourse on higher education and pedagogy to continuously steer my teaching practice.’
‘I loved how structured everything was. It was clear which stage of the application process I was at and where I needed the support next. The support and feedback then given was super helpful.’
‘Easy to access, flexible hours to the scheme allow it to be balanced with research commitments.’
Fellowship submission points take place four times throughout the academic year: November, February, June, and September. Full details of these and information about LUTRS can be found on the dedicated LEARN page.
The scheme is currently accredited under the 2011 UK Professional Standards Framework. Work is underway to transition the scheme to the new 2023 framework and this will be launched in January 2025.
