New student competition: A chance for your artwork to be displayed in the Vice-Chancellor’s Office

We are excited to announce that the Vice-Chancellor Professor Nick Jennings and Dr Jo Jennings are looking for student artwork as part of a collection representing our strategic theme ‘Vibrant and Inclusive Communities’.

Work that addresses equity, diversity and inclusion topics is welcome, as well as your interpretation or experience of community.   

The winning artist will not only receive £500, but will see their work displayed in the Vice Chancellor’s office based in the Hazlerigg Building. 

All submissions should be delivered to the Edward Barnsley Building Admin Office before Tuesday 25 April 2023, 12.30pm. If you are a student based at the London campus, please send high-quality photos of your artwork to Aakif Imthiyaz (M.Imthiyaz@lboro.ac.uk) with the subject line 'VC Artwork Competition'. 

Further details on the specification required for submissions can be found below: 

  • The size of your work should not exceed 50cm x 70cm  

  • Submissions can be canvas and 2D print works  

  • When submitting, please include your name and email address, alongside 150-300 words that provide background to your work.
