He is an international advisory panel member for IDP, his former employer, and he is a member of the cabinet for the Council of Advancement and Support for Education.”
Martyn joins other notable individuals on the list including Vivienne Stern (Chief Executive, UUK), Sir Steve Smith (Former Vice-Chancellor for the University of Exeter and UK Government International Education Champion), as well as Lord Karan Bilimoria (current Chancellor at the University of Birmingham).
He led the development of the University’s International Engagement and Impact Core Plan, which launched last year and is one of the key strategic aims of the University’s strategy, Creating Better Futures. Together. The Core plan can be viewed in full online (please note that sign-in is required to access).
Martyn commented: “It is very humbling to be recognised in this way and I am grateful to all the colleagues that work in this space at the University and have supported me. I think it also reflects the strong commitment Loughborough has made to international engagement as part of our new strategy and the progress over the past 18 months.”
