Training Opportunities for Researchers at Loughborough

The Centre for Postdoctoral Development in Infrastructure, Cities and Energy (C-DICE) is hosting workshops for postdoctoral researchers and late-stage PhDs at Loughborough University.

This training is available to all researchers based out of C-DICE partner universities, including Loughborough University.

How To Design a Workshop (7 July)

During this interactive workshop, researchers will learn the principles of effective workshop design and will be given the space to practise these principles. Experienced professionals will share hints and tips on how to design and facilitate a workshop, with a focus on the learning journey. This training will provide an opportunity to upskill, collaborate with colleagues and apply best practice in designing and delivering your own workshop.

This face-to-face workshop will take place at Loughborough University on Friday 7 July, 10.30am-2pm with lunch provided.

Digital Storytelling for Researchers (10-12 July)

This training will introduce the concept of digital storytelling and explore its use as a tool to guide researchers to self-evaluate and recognize subject-specific practical and professional skills.  Immersive and practical, this training is hosted Dr Antonia Liguori - Senior Lecturer in Applied Storytelling at Loughborough University.

Over the three days, you will create your Digital Story – a short personal narrative multimedia film, telling the story of your research experience, using a few images and your voice.  Publishing your digital story on your webpage or including in your online CV will expand your audience and make your research more accessible.
