Wellbeing and resilience support over the summer

The #Me course is available to students staying on our campuses over the summer and offers a safe space to discuss mental health and how to implement coping strategies.

The University has previously offered three #Me courses this year which thousands of Loughborough and Loughborough London Campus students have been involved in to date.

The course takes you through various aspects of wellbeing and resilience, covering a different topic each week.

Students who have completed the 12-week course have fed back that they feel more in control of their life and better equipped to handle difficult situations and emotions.

“It helped me be part of a community which dealt with similar issues. I didn’t think I’d find that at university as a postgraduate so I’m really grateful for this opportunity.” - PhD second year Sport, Exercise and Health Science Student

Based on your sign-up form, you will be allocated to a group of around six like-minded undergraduate or postgraduate students who you can relate to and meet each week for an hour over 12 weeks, starting the week commencing 26 June 2023. Peer groups meet in person or online as preferred and are available Mondays-Thursdays at a variety of times, including evenings.

Each group is led by two trained student volunteers and all resources and discussion points are provided by #Me. If you would like to gain meaningful experience in promoting positive mental health, there is the chance to sign up to be a volunteer.

Register your interest for partaking in or facilitating this course. The deadline is Friday 16 June, 9pm. Please contact #Me directly (info@hashtagme.com) if you have any questions.
