The award acknowledges high-quality green spaces and parks and is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the University’s Gardens team who work throughout the year to make the campus a beautiful and welcoming space that students, staff and visitors can all enjoy. It is among more than 2,000 sites across the country which have been recognised this year.
Kaz Setchell, Gardens Manager commented: “Receiving the accreditation for a sixth year running pays testament to the hardworking team who put so much time and effort into keeping the campus looking beautiful and managing it in a way as we adjust to our changing climate.
“We also recognise the importance of our green space to the daily health and wellbeing of all and we are dedicated to protecting and improving its exceptional natural environment for future generations.”
Green Flag Award Scheme Manager, Paul Todd MBE said: “I would like to congratulate everyone involved at Loughborough in achieving a Green Flag Award.
