The EMFA ‘Finance Team of the Year’ category recognises first-class financial support and insight by finance teams based in the East Midlands that support any business area in either the public or private sector. The awards are designed to recognise the talent and hard work of accounting and finance professionals across the region.
Following nominations from businesses across all sectors, the eight selected finalists were interviewed by judges in advance of the awards ceremony.
James Henry, Director of Finance at Loughborough University said: “To be recognised as one of the best finance teams in the East Midlands, not just within the sector, is a huge achievement for the team. The team has implemented numerous process and technological changes over the last year, all with the aim of improving the service we provide to students and other stakeholders. Most importantly, this has all been done whilst having a great team culture and with colleagues who genuinely want to make a difference.”
