Remote access to online services during the festive break

To access Loughborough University campus-restricted services from off-campus including remote access to campus computers, you will require the use of multi-factor authentication (MFA) through the DUO Mobile app and virtual private network (VPN) through the Cisco AnyConnect app.

MFA is an extra layer of security. The DUO Mobile app verifies your identity when logging into Loughborough University online services.

Install the DUO mobile app.

If you are upgrading to a new mobile phone, remember to reinstall and reactivate the DUO Mobile app on your new device before resetting or disposing of your old device.

How to transfer your DUO account to a new device.

To access internal services, you need to connect your device to the campus network with the Cisco AnyConnect VPN app.

Install the Cisco AnyConnect app.

Both of these apps will only take a few minutes to install and IT Services highly recommend installing them before you leave for the festive break.
