Personal Best: My Story – Karen Walker

On International Women’s Day 2021 (8 March), alumna Karen Walker will share her career story in the next Personal Best: My Story presentation.

As Chief Marketing Officer at Intel, Karen has one of the most prestigious and sought-after roles in Silicon Valley and will give Loughborough students and staff an insight into working life in California.

Alumna Karen, who graduated in 1984 with a degree in Chemistry and Management, is named in Forbes’ Top 10 Most Influential Chief Marketing Officers in the world. Prior to working at Intel, she worked at CISCO and Hewlett Packard.

This prestigious presentation forms part of the Personal Best programme and is the ninth of its series. Personal Best is a bespoke development programme that has been specifically designed for Loughborough University students, offering academic, professional and personal development opportunities through a range of activities and resources.

The event will take place online via MS Teams and will commence at 7pm on Monday 8 March.

Places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Students can book their place online. Alumni and staff can also register by emailing personalbest@lboro.ac.uk.
