Flags around Loughborough
Over the last few days, Union Flags and St George’s Flags have appeared around Loughborough. Overnight, a number have appeared along Epinal Way, including adjacent to the entrance. All the flags are on the highway and not University land. Therefore, they fall under the responsibility of the County Council.

Implementation of the annual pay uplift 2025/26
Following the update at the end of August regarding the annual pay award, as confirmed previously, a 1.4% uplift will be applied to all spine points. This will be implemented in the September payroll and backdated to 1 August.

Last week, Loughborough University held its annual PhD Awards, an event dedicated to recognising the outstanding achievements and contributions of individuals within the Doctoral Researcher (DR) community across the two campuses.

In partnership with Charnwood Borough Council, the University’s Community Warden team and LU Arts have launched a competition to redesign and repaint a series of book benches, which will be donated to local primary schools.
