Academic staff needed for BBC Radio 4 quiz team

BBC Radio 4 are looking for members of staff to take part in a quiz show, being recorded on campus on Thursday 16 May.

“The 3rd Degree” is a show that pits three undergraduate students against three members of staff in a general knowledge and specialist subject quiz.

Each of the three students are studying one of the three subjects taught by the three members of the staff team, and the rounds vary between Specialist Subject and General Knowledge, with team questions, quickfire bell-and-buzzer rounds and individual questions also.

Recorded at a different university each week, the show is hosted by Steve Punt and produced by David Tyler for Pozzitive Television Ltd for BBC Radio 4.

The show will be held at the Loughborough campus on Thursday 16 May and will be recorded at 6pm. Participants would be needed from around about 4pm to rehearse/run through the format with David and the recording takes about an hour and a half.

If you’d like to put yourself forward to be on the staff team please contact Judy Wing by emailing J.L.Wing@lboro.ac.uk.
