Thousands expected at open days

Open day 2013

Almost 6,000 potential students will attend the University’s open days tomorrow and Saturday (27 and 28 June).

They will run from 9.30am to 3.30pm each day with a wide range of information, presentations and exhibitions on offer, as well as tours of facilities and the chance to talk to current Loughborough students.

Charlotte Davison attended one of Loughborough’s open days in 2010 and has now just completed the final year of her History and Geography degree at the University.

“Loughborough was already top of my list, but coming along to the open day made me realise that I really wanted to come here. There was a real buzz about the place,” Charlotte says.

“By the end of my visit my heart was set on Loughborough. Four years later, I’m one of the student volunteers at this year’s open days. I can’t wait to tell the next generation of Loughborough students how great this place is!”

Due to the large numbers expected on campus there are likely to be queues at the catering outlets and there might be some congestion in the venues that are hosting activity.

Visitors coming to the campus by car are being asked to use the West Entrance and the majority will directed to park in the multi storey or at Holywell.
