Postgraduate checklist
Before you arrive and on your arrival, there are several important tasks that you need to complete. We have listed them all here for you, along with links to useful information to help you get prepared.
6 weeks to go
- Celebrate your success and get involved on social media! #LboroFamily
- Look out for an email containing instructions on accessing your IT credentials and follow the steps
- Set up Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) on your device
- Using your IT credentials (and a photo that fits our guidelines), register online
- Share any health/disability related requirements for living or studying via the Disability and Health Portal
2 weeks to go
- Download the myLboro app and sign in with your IT credentials to access your timetable, emails and more
- Find out what Loughborough Students’ Union (LSU) have planned for your Welcome Week and get your official tickets
- Familiarise yourself with the support available from IT Services
- Check out our sporting programmes and Loughborough Sport memberships
- Browse the student handbook for lots of helpful information

- Apply for your visa (once you have received your CAS)
2 weeks to go

- Familiarise yourself with the support available from IT Services
- Check out our sporting programmes and Loughborough Sport memberships

- Check your student visa. If your vignette/BRP does not show the University’s sponsor licence number (G9M4TDXV1), contact Student Records and Operations
Arrivals

First week
- If your BRP is not being delivered to the University, collect it from the Post Office
- Attend the International Student Registration event – don’t forget your passport and visa!
- Open a bank account (download a letter from Self Service at least one day after you have collected your ID card)
- Register online with a local GP
