Normally this free coach service is solely for new international students who will be studying at Loughborough University. However we may be able to accept additional passengers, such as accompanying friends and relatives (other than family dependents), if there are seats available. The fee for additional passengers is £50.

We recommend that you bring no more than two large checked in suitcases (25-35kg) and one hand luggage (10kg). You will be charged £30 per additional suitcase (over 10kg and 55x35x20cm) per person if you bring more than this allowance. Please note that students will be expected to handle their own luggage on and off the coaches.

Please note that if your flight is delayed, it will not be possible for the coach to postpone its departure beyond 10am and 2.00pm.

Where do you meet to be picked up?

Terminal 2, Heathrow Airport, London

The meeting point will be at Terminal 2 Arrivals, near to Café Nero and WHSmiths. Loughborough University staff and/or students will be at the meeting point from around 10.00am and 2.00pm and will be clearly identifiable by signs and/or t-shirts with the Loughborough University logo.

If you arrive at other Heathrow Terminals or at London Gatwick Airport North Terminal there will be information desks there which you will be able to approach and obtain information about getting a transfer to Heathrow Terminal 2 if you wish to use this coach service.

If you're attending a pre-sessional English programme, there are set dates for you to book your coach. These coaches will drop students off at the designated Hall of Residence. On other dates, the coaches will take students to their Hall of Residence (where it is known), or onto campus where there will be a taxi service offered for smaller off-campus residences. New students will take priority when transferring to transport for accommodation off campus.

We would recommend that you closely monitor the UK Government travel advice as changes may be made in the weeks leading up to your arrival.
