Collecting your ID card

When you arrive on campus, you will need to collect your new student ID card to complete the registration process and officially enrol at Loughborough University. Your new student ID card will provide access to buildings across the campus, including the library, halls of residence and the Students’ Union. It also proves your student status.

The steps below will help you work out how and where to collect your ID card. Some pages will only become live closer to the event.

All students at the London Campus

If you are studying at the London campus, your registration process is detailed on the London campus registration page. You should not travel to the Loughborough campus to complete your registration.

All International students at the Loughborough campus

If you are paying international tuition fees, or have Leave to Remain in the UK, you will need to book an appointment to complete your Registration at the Student Enquiries Counter in the Rutland Building. At your appointment, your right to study in the UK will be confirmed and you will receive your student ID Card and your Biometric Residence Permit (if you have asked for it to be sent to Loughborough University).

UK/EU students

If you are paying UK, EU or Channel Islands tuition fees, and hold a UK/EEA or Swiss Passport, you will need to book an appointment to collect your student ID card from the Student Enquiries Counter in the Rutland Building. At your appointment we will confirm your identity issue you with your student ID Card.
