Welcometo Loughborough

Before you arrive

Arrival information

Congratulations! You’re officially a Loughborough student. Now you can start thinking about what you want to bring to University and what clubs and societies interest you. But first, take a note of your arrival date.

At Loughborough, we allocate students with a specific arrival date – with so many students travelling, we try and organise it so that you don’t all arrive at once. Arrival week is scheduled before your first day of term to ensure you have time to enrol, attend your induction meeting and get to know other new students.

Book an arrival slot

In order to ensure that ‘moving in’ goes as smoothly as possible, please book an arrival slot. We can arrange for you to collect your keys, provide designated parking and ensure you have the help you need to move in. If you do not arrive on your allocated day, we cannot guarantee that your room will be reserved for you and you might be at risk of losing your room. Please contact us if you think you will arrive late.

Student ID card collection

Students living on campus will be able to collect their cards upon arrival at their particular hall. Non-hall students will be able to collect their new student ID cards at the James France building on Friday 29 September 2017.

Please note: separate arrangements will be made for international students.

If you are unable to attend for whatever reason, please click here.
