Electron Backscatter Diffraction

EBSD is available on all SEM's within LMCC as well as our P-FIB.

Electron Backscatter Diffraction (EBSD) is a technique used to analyse the crystallographic orientation of a specimen by the process of measuring the diffraction patterns produced due to electron interaction. This can be carried out on all types of samples that are vacuum compatible and crystalline in nature.
