Music VIP
If you are interested in music then you’ll be pleased to know that there is lots going on music-wise at Loughborough University – from free access to music rooms and music tuition to one-off workshops, performances and societies to join.
If you want to make sure you keep up with everything music-related on campus (and beyond) then our FREE Music VIP club could be for you. Only Music VIP members can access the University music rooms, so if you want to be able to use these rooms you will need to become a member first.
Please note that membership is only open to current Loughborough University students and staff members.
Once you become a member you will receive our regular Music VIP e-newsletters. You will hear about upcoming events and music-related news such as music scholarship details and deadlines, opportunities to perform and much more. You can also send us details of your events / groups for us to share with other Music VIP members. Simply email the details to LU.Arts@mailbox.lboro.ac.uk.
How do I become a member?
You register for free membership via a simple Microsoft Form, using the link below. As part of the form you will need to tick a box to show that you have read and understood the rules of use for the music rooms.
Music VIP is only open to Loughborough University students and staff and you will need a student or staff campus card and your ID number in order to join.
It can take 2-3 working days for the access to be added to your campus card once you have signed up. If you experience any problems after this time then please email LU.Arts@mailbox.lboro.ac.uk.
Please note that you do not need to sign up again each year, your membership will carry over as long as you still have a valid student or staff card.
Important data notice
Once you have signed up to Music VIP, LU Arts will receive an email notification which contains the details you entered onto the form when you signed up. Your email address is then stored on a database, which can only be accessed by LU Arts staff. We will not share, trade or sell your data. If we need to share your data, we will always seek your consent first.
Your email address is used to send you our regular Music VIP newsletters; you can opt out of these at any time by emailing LU.Arts@mailbox.lboro.ac.uk with ‘Music VIP – unsubscribe’ in the subject line. This will unsubscribe you from the newsletter. However, your details will still be recorded on our database in case we need to contact you about music room access. If you wish to be removed entirely, then you need to let us know so that we can delete your data; you also need to inform Campus Card who will remove the access from your card (see separate note below).
If you have unsubscribed from the Music VIP mailing list and would like to start receiving these emails again, then please contact us via email at LU.Arts@mailbox.lboro.ac.uk from your university email address with 'Subscribe to Music VIP in the subject line.
Please note: when you sign up to Music VIP, your data is also emailed to Campus Card, who then add the access to your student / staff card so that you can gain entry to the music rooms.
