About LU Arts
At LU Arts we run a student-focused arts programme. This gives you plenty of opportunities to enjoy and/or get involved in the arts during your time at Loughborough.
Making your student experience a creative one
Our programme covers a wide range of art forms from pottery, painting and creative writing to music, dance and drama. Events include live performances, workshops, artist talks, discussion events, exhibitions and more.
Whether you want to enjoy performances by others, develop your existing talents or learn a new skill, there is something for you. However, if you can’t find what you’re looking for then get in touch. We’re always open to new ideas and with our student arts grants, we might even fund you to put on your own event!
Many of the activities and events we organise are open to Loughborough University staff and some of them are also open to the general public. Public events include our creative learning evening classes, NT Live screenings, Radar discussion events, and annual Loughborough University Arts Festival.
We also run Radar, the university’s unique contemporary art programme. Radar invites artists to work alongside and respond to research which is taking place at the University. The outputs from these projects can include performances, workshops, publications, discussion events, exhibitions and installations. There are opportunities for students to get involved in these projects, especially students from the School of Creative Arts.
