How work is marked
Your online exam work will be marked and moderated (reviewed and checked) in accordance with the standard procedures.
Loughborough prides itself on the fair assessment of all academic work for which marks are awarded. There are rules and regulations to govern the marking of your work. These are clear and apply to all. It is in your interest to read and understand them. You can find relevant information in the Academic Quality Procedures Handbook, section 12.2.
Please note that the marks awarded in Semester 1 will not have all of the Safety Nets applied until the exam boards which take place at the end of Semester 2. Therefore, the marks you obtain at the end of Semester 1 are provisional and may be subject to further change.
Marks will then be reviewed again and finalised using the University’s Safety Nets and in consultation with relevant external examiners at the exam boards at the end of the academic year (June/July 2021). Your Semester 1 marks will be released as usual through the MyResults System. You will receive an e-mail when they are ready to view. Generic feedback on students’ performance in the exams will be provided in the standard way.
