Instructions to connect your iOS device to the Hallnet Wi-Fi network

1. Open Settings, select General, and then About.

2. Scroll down to Wi-Fi Address - this is your device's MAC address and is presented in the format xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx

3. Click to ‘copy’ or alternatively make a note of the address. 

4. Next, Go to the Onboarding site (button link below).

5. Select option No 2. Other Devices and log in with your University username and password.

6. At the MAC Registration page, paste or manually add your MAC address and add device Description e.g. ‘ iPhone 14’ and select Register.

7. Make a note of the Pre-Shared Key (PSK) information. This is the password you will need to connect to the ‘hallnet wifi’ network.

8. Return to the home screen and open Settings and Wi-Fi settings

9. Locate and select the 'hallnet wifi' network, and use the Pre-Shared Key (PSK) as the password for this connection.

10. Next, select the information logo next to the ‘hallnet wifi’

11. Turn off Private Wi-Fi Address. This will disable the randomised Mac address function.
