IT Services recommend you connect your games console to the wired network in your room where possible.

To run your games consoles over our network. All we need from you is to register the MAC address of your device, you will need to use your computer to register the device on HallNet, and then you're good to go!

You must register each device you connect to HallNet

  1. Log on to with your username and password.

  2. Enter the MAC address in the format xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx and press the Submit button.

  3. Fill in the information requested, and click on Register.

  4. If you make a mistake, or want to change a setting, click on the above Registration for HallNet link.

How to find the MAC Address for:

PlayStation 3 - MAC address

Go to Settings on the Cross Media Bar (XMB)

Go to Settings on the Cross Media Bar (XMB) and select System Settings. Scroll down and select System Information.

Register your games console to complete full setup.

PlayStation 4 & 5- MAC address

Go to Settings

Turn on the PS4 and from the dynamic menu, select ‘Settings’.

Select System, and then System Information

Write down the MAC Address (LAN cable)

Register your games console to complete full setup.

Xbox One - MAC address

From the Xbox dashboard, press the option button on the controller and select Settings.

Select Network Settings

Select Network Settings, and choose Advanced Settings.

Nintendo Switch - MAC address


System Settings

Select "System Settings" from the HOME Menu.



Scroll down through the menu and select "Internet."

The Nintendo Switch console's MAC address will be listed under "System MAC Address."
