Global evaluation of the WASH sector strategy Community Approaches to Total Sanitation (CATS)

WEDC focus on Mozambique and Sierra Leone

This demonstrates our understanding of the WASH sector and expertise in evaluation through conducting an in-depth evaluation of UNICEF’s experience in understanding and implementing its global strategy for rural sanitation (Community Approaches to Total Sanitation, CATS). The evaluation identified the strengths and weaknesses of the application of CATS within UNICEF’s programming in over 50 countries, as a means to analyse how UNICEF could build on this experience in developing its future global rural sanitation strategy.
