LU Arts can help you get involved in creative workshops, meet students from other cultures and do something new & fun outside of your studies.

We've got an incredible lineup of events and activities tailored just for International students at Loughborough University. Get ready to make new friends, explore your creative side, and immerse yourself in the vibrant arts scene on campus. 

From music and performing arts to creative writing and visual arts, we've got it covered! Our events includes hands-on workshops, evening classes, music tuition, open mic performances, exhibitions and much more. There are also one-off competitions and opportunities to showcase your work and skills.

Create & Connect x ISE

We are excited to announce our special Create & Connect series for international students. In partnership with the International Student Experience team, these friendly sessions are designed to connect you with other international students and do something creative in your spare time.

When: Sessions will run fortnightly from Wednesday 8 October 2025, 2.30pm-4.30pm

Location: MHL0.13, Martin Hall

Each session is free but spaces are limited and must be booked in advance. The sessions are all beginner-friendly and are open to all Loughborough University international students, including UG, PGT and PGR.

Get involved

Music

Sign up for music tuition and access free music practice rooms seven days a week. Perform at open mic nights or join a student society to stay interested in music.

Discover new hobbies by joining a student society. There's plenty on offer, from all genres of music and dance to drama, sketching, cinema and more.

Book Club

Join the Library's free Book Club which meets monthly. It's a great place to have a chat and meet new people. Look out for details of upcoming meetings on our 'What's on' page.

Join our University Choir. Open to anyone that enjoys singing with others or would like to have a go for the first time!
