Welcome to our Connect community!

The Connect community is a hub for anyone who wants to start a business, gain entrepreneurial skills and everything in between. Wherever you are on this journey we have something for you.

How to get involved?

Attend workshops on entrepreneurial skills such as pitching, business planning, etc, challenge yourself and innovate through coming up with creative solutions to big issues with hackathons, network with industry professionals and like-minded individuals and so much more. We also have amazing student groups that create events and projects dedicated to upskilling students in business and creative skills and creating projects that are centred around the UNs Sustainability Development goals.

Our Initiate Checklist Think you've got a viable business idea and want to move on to develop your business at The Start-Up Lab? There are a few things that we can help you with first. Complete our checklist with us before getting in touch with a Student Enterprise Adviser.
The Business Model Canvas This Business Model Canvas template is the key resource that we'll share with you at the Inspire stage to really get you thinking about all aspects of your business idea and whether it is feasible. You are expected to have completed this and visited Emma and Ash in The Hub (Loughborough Students' Union) for feedback on this before booking a meeting to see Sophie at The Start-Up Lab, please.
