My immigration status...

International students' information about registration, visa advice, BRP collection and work.

Our international students have quite a few administrative steps to take, but we have advice for you here.

When will I need to provide my immigration documents?

When you start your programme, you will need to present your passport and visa at registration.  Please see the International Student Registration page for further details.

If your change your passport or visa during your studies, you must present your documents to the Student Records Counter, Rutland Building, or Student Services desk, London campus, within five working days of receipt.  If you are returning from overseas, for example after a Leave of Absence, you must show your new visa before you can recommence your studies.  Further details can be found in the Student Handbook.

Where should I go for advice about my Visa?

The University's Student Advice and Support Service can provide immigration advice.  This includes guidance on how to make a new Student visa application.

Please see guidance on Collecting your BRP from either a Post Office or the University at the link below.

Am I allowed to work while I'm studying, and for how long?

Please see the Students' Work Entitlements page in the Student Handbook for detailed information.

CAS Requests

If you are an existing student and need a CAS to apply for a new visa because you are changing programme, have added a placement year, undertaken reassessments, or are returning from a Leave of Absence, please request this using the form below. You will need to upload a copy of your passport and, if applicable, an up-to-date ATAS certificate. Please allow 15 working days for your new CAS to be issued.

If you have not yet started your programme at Loughborough, your CAS will be issued by the relevant Admissions Office.  Please do not complete this form.
