Keeping devices up to date is one of the most effective ways to protect against malware. The Duo Desktop app ensures your system is healthy and ensures you only see reminders about updating your devices operating system when it is out of date.  It never accesses personal files, erases data, or changes settings without your permission. Unlike Duo Mobile, the Duo Desktop app is not used for multi-factor authentication.
