Description of the Works
The University is constructing five new student accommodation buildings (552 beds) on the former car parks 5, 5A, and 21. The project will last approximately 18 months and will cause significant campus disruption, including increased vehicle movements and the closure of Margaret Keay Road. At peak times, around 300 construction workers and up to 30 lorry movements per day are expected. A traffic management plan is in place, and increased noise should be anticipated. Regular updates will be shared via the LU noticeboard and project communications.
