Estates and Facilities Management (E&FM) is a multi-disciplinary organisation responsible for the development, management and maintenance of the University’s two campuses in Loughborough and London.

Our vision is to create inspirational and sustainable environments in which teaching, research, sport, enterprise and living can thrive. The E&FM team deliver a wide-range of services ensuring the effective and sustainable management of the University’s land, buildings and biodiverse landscapes. This includes delivery of the capital building, refurbishment, long-term planned and reactive maintenance programme to ensure continual improvement of the estate.

E&FM provides a broad range of professional support services which include: project delivery and programme management, maintenance and engineering, property advisory primarily focused on the University’s Science and Enterprise Park; student accommodation, catering, cleaning and caretaking, grounds’ support including for world-class sporting facilities, sustainability and delivery of integrated operational support including: finance, information and asset management, space management, customer reception and helpdesk services.

 Estates and Energy Strategies

The Estates Strategy sets out a development framework for Loughborough University covering a twenty-year period from 2020 to 2040 focusing on providing the appropriate physical infrastructure to meet the University’s ‘Building Excellence’ strategy.
