Living in halls is one of the easiest ways to meet people when you start university. You’ll live alongside students from different courses, backgrounds and countries, giving you plenty of opportunities to build friendships and become part of your hall community.

Every hall has its own character, traditions and community, with student-led hall committees helping to bring residents together throughout the year.

Support when you need it

Moving to university and living away from home can be a big change.

Our accommodation teams are here to help you settle in and provide support throughout your time in halls.

Hall Management Team

Your Hall Management Team is available Monday to Friday, 8am–6pm, to help with day-to-day questions, concerns, cleaning, maintenance and issues with your accommodation or flatmates.

Warden team

Your Wardens and Sub-wardens are there to provide support throughout your time in halls. They can help with concerns about halls or other aspects of student life, with conversations treated confidentially.

Eating on campus

Whether you live in catered or self-catered accommodation, there are plenty of options for breakfast, lunch and dinner across campus, with a range of nutritious meals and home-cooked choices.

If you choose a catered hall, your meals are included in your accommodation fees, making it easy to enjoy meals on campus without having to plan, shop or cook.

Living in self-catered accommodation? You can still enjoy meals in our dining halls using a Hall Meal Saver Card, giving you the flexibility to eat on campus whenever you choose.

Our shops, cafés, bars and hall dining, really do offer a fantastic range of options. Ranging from food on the go, to casual dining, there really is something for everyone and they span right across campus. These include:
