Refugees and asylum seekers

At Loughborough, we want to create a safe and supportive environment for every student to excel, both academically and professionally.

We work hard to ensure that all students with the potential and desire to study a degree course are given equal and fair opportunities to do so.

Our experienced and specially trained Student Services team offer a varied package of support that includes academic study, counselling and mental health, medical support and a hall warden service.

Henry's story

Meet Henry, a refugee from Ghana who has worked tirelessly to achieve success with his education and progress to university. Watch Henry talking about his experiences studying Economics and outlining his hopes and ambitions for the future.

There are a range of national organisations that provide advice and guidance for refugees and asylum seekers relating to all aspects of their day to day lives, including information about continuing their education.
