Applying for accommodation

If you are starting in October, if you receive full acceptance onto your course and apply for accommodation prior to 1 September, you will be given priority when University halls accommodation is allocated. For those starting in January, more information about your accommodation options will be on our announcements page closer to your start date.

Although halls accommodation is not guaranteed, we promise to help you secure University allocated accommodation either on campus or by referral to an off campus approved provider.

We have three self-catered halls of residence available to our postgraduate students. Accommodation is available either on or a short walk from campus and rooms are let on a 50-week basis. With competitive rents and a friendly and supportive atmosphere, halls are a great choice if you're looking for accommodation.

How to apply

You will not be able to apply for accommodation until your offer has been confirmed and the accommodation system has been updated. Please allow 24 hours for the accommodation system to update before you are able to apply.

You can select three accommodation preferences based on Hall and room type. We will then send you an email summarising your request.

Our team will use your preferences as a guide when allocating accommodation. Please note that depending on availability, we may not be able to offer your preferred option. The system will take into account both your preference options and the date of your application.

Once the accommodation team have allocated you a room, you will be sent an email confirming your accommodation offer and how to view and accept this online. You will receive your offer via the email address you have provided on your University application.
