Description of the Works
- The district heating and boilers will be isolated to allow the large pump to be removed from the central boiler house using a crane. This will disrupt the heating whilst the work is carried out.
- The removed pump will then be replaced by lifting the newly refurbished spare pump into position.
- A temporary connection will be installed from the CHP to the Whitworth district heating leg to maintain supply during the works.
- All remaining hot water demand will be met using electrical immersion heaters.
- The Bridgeman Car Park will be closed for one day while the crane is in operation to carry out this work.
- Scaffold will be installed on Saturday 28.02.26 to enable works on Wednesday 4 March 2026.
