Description of the Works
The existing heating plant is now life expired and is due for replacement. The location of the heating plant within the occupational health stairs undercroft is limited and poses health and safety risks for maintenance tasks. New heating plant will be installed to the adjacent basement store area. A new caged area will be formed to segregate the plant from the storage space used by other teams. The initial phase of work will be to erect the cage and install first fix of the new heating components; the heating will not be affected at this stage.
Noise is to be expected where drilling of the structure is required to fix brackets for new components.
