Rachael Grew
Lecturer in Art History and Visual Culture, Loughborough University, UK

Rachael Grew is a Lecturer in Art History and Visual Culture, and teaches broadly across issues of gender, identity, and the body in modern and contemporary visual culture. She is particularly interested in the depiction of bodies that blur the lines between the human and the non-human, especially in the work of the artist, designer, and author Leonor Fini, but also in popular visual cultures of horror, fantasy, and sci-fi, and examines these using feminist posthumanist frameworks and methodologies.

Katve-Kaisa Kontturi
Senior Lecturer in Art History, University of Turku, Finland

Dr. Katve-Kaisa Kontturi is a senior lecturer in art history and associate professor of contemporary art studies at the University of Turku, Finland, as well as an honorary fellow at the Victorian College of the Arts, The University of Melbourne. Her research focuses on the affective materialities of making and encountering art, feminist activisms, and more-than-human agencies involved in these processes, as exemplified in her book Ways of Following: Art, Materiality, Collaboration (Open Humanities Press, 2018).

Elke Krasny
Professor of Art and Education, Academy of Fine Arts, Vienna, Austria

Elke Krasny is a cultural and architectural theorist, urban researcher, curator, and author, whose scholarship, academic writings, curatorial work, and international lectures address questions of care at the present historical conjuncture with a focus on emancipatory and transformative practices in art, curating, architecture and urbanism. The 2019 exhibition and edited volume Critical Care. Architecture and Urbanism for a Broken Planet, curated and edited together with Angelika Fitz, was published by MIT Press and introduces a care perspective in architecture addressing the anthropocenic conditions of the global present.

Ana Gabriela Macedo is Professor of English and Comparative Literature at Universidade do Minho, Portugal. She is also Director of the research group in Gender, Arts and Postcolonial Studies and of the PhD Program in Comparative Modernities - Literatures, Arts and Cultures.

Refilwe Nkomo is a Johannesburg based multidisciplinary artist, curator, educator and producer creating cultural and artistic interventions, programs and installations using various mediums including performance, video, text and movement at the intersection of arts and social justice.

Alpesh Patel
Associate Professor of Art History, Tyler School of Art and Architecture, Temple University, USA

Alpesh Kantilal Patel is an associate professor of art history at Tyler School of Art and Architecture, Temple University, and the 2023 Curator at Large at UrbanGlass, Brooklyn, where he is organizing a series of exhibitions under the theme “Forever Becoming: Decolonization, Materiality, and Trans Subjectivity.” He is working on his next monograph, Multiple and One: Global Queer Art Histories.

Lecturer in Visual Cultures, Goldsmiths, University of London, UK

Lenka Vráblíková is a lecturer in the Department of Visual Cultures at Goldsmiths, University of London, Visiting Research Fellow at the University of Leeds, a member of Feminist Readings Network (transnational and translingual collective that explores reading with feminist and queer thought, art and pedagogy), and Les [Woods] – Community for Cultivation, Theory and Art based in the Czech Republic. Lenka's work lies at the intersection of visual culture studies with transnational feminisms, political ecology, feminist deconstruction, critical university studies and artivist research.
