Tal Dekel
Head of the Visual Literacy Studies, Kibbutzim College and Tel Aviv University, Israel
Tal Dekel is Head of the Visual Literacy Studies Program at Kibbutzim College and a lecturer at the Art History Department at Tel Aviv University, Israel. Dekel is the author of the book Transnational Identities: Women, Art, and Migration in Contemporary Israel (Wayne State University Press).
Ceren Özpınar
Senior Lecurer, School of Humanities and Social Science, University of Brighton, UK
Ceren Özpınar’s research focuses on contemporary art, art historiography, politics of exhibitions, and feminist art and art histories since 1960 with a special interest in Turkey and the Middle East. She authored The Art Historiography in Turkey (1970–2010) (Tarih Vakfi, 2016), and co-edited Under the Skin: Feminist Art and Art Histories from the Middle East and North Africa Today (Oxford University Press, 2020).
Anne Ring Petersen
Professor, Department of Arts and Cultural Studies, University of Copenhagen, Denmark
Anne Ring Petersen’s interests lie in transcultural and (post)migratory approaches to contemporary art and culture, particularly the impact of migration and globalisation on identities, communities and collective memories. Her recent publications include Migration into art: Transcultural identities and art-making in a globalised world (2017) and the co-authored book Reframing Migration, Diversity and the Arts: The Postmigrant Condition (2019).
Uta Ruhkamp
Senior Curator at Kunstmuseum Wolfsburg, Germany
Dr Uta Ruhkamp studied art history, French, Italian and ethnology (cultural anthropology) in Aachen, Florence and Münster and started working at Kunstmuseum Wolfsburg in 2010, where she was and is in charge of many solo shows, thematic exhibitions and the corresponding publications. Within her curatorial practice she concentrates on interdisciplinary, transnational, female, and political positions.
Nilima Sheikh
Visual artist, Baroda, India
Nilima Sheikh was born in New Delhi in 1945 and trained in painting at Baroda after graduation. Besides painting in varied media, format and scale, she illustrated books for children, designed for collaborative theatre and mural projects, and wrote on art.
Ming Turner
Associate Professor, National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan
Ming Turner was awarded her PhD in Art History and Theory from Loughborough University. She has published widely in both English and Chinese and has curated a variety of projects and exhibitions internationally; recent book-length publications include The Art of Contemporary Curation and Its Realisation: Body, Gender and Technology (2018), and Crossing Borders: Transition and Nostalgia in Contemporary Art (2015).
