On Thursday 8th June we will be hosting an IAS Friends and Fellows Coffee Morning, where we will be joined by our IAS Visiting Fellows Associate Professor Summer Harlow (hosted by Dr Ana Cristina Suzina from Loughborough University London), along with Professor Oliver Ibert and Professor Suntje Schmidt (both hosted by Professor Heike Jons, Dr John Harrison, Professor Sarah Holloway & Dr Allan Watson in the School of Social Sciences and Humanities).

Professor Suntje Schmidt - Leibniz-Institute for Research on Society and Space (IRS) & Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin

Suntje Schmidt coordinates the research area "Economy and Civil Society" at the Leibniz Institute for Spatial Social Research (IRS). She is also Junior Professor for Applied Economic Geography at the Humboldt University in Berlin.

Professor Oliver Ibert - Leibniz-Institute for Research on Society and Space (IRS) & Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg

Oliver Ibert is Director of the Leibniz-Institute for Research on Society and Space (IRS) in Erkner (near Berlin) and Professor of Socio-Spatial Transformation at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg.

Associate Professor Summer Harlow - University of Houston

Summer Harlow is an award-winning associate professor of journalism in the Jack J. Valenti School of Communication at the University of Houston. Her scholarly research focuses on the intersections of social movements, social media, and journalism, particularly in the United States and Latin America.
