Dr John Harrison appointed Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Regional Studies Association’s key journal

Dr John Harrison has been appointed as Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Regional Studies Association’s (RSA) flagship journal Regional Studies.

Established in 1965 the Regional Studies Association is a learned society concerned with the analysis of regions and regional issues. Through their international membership they provide a network for academics, students, practitioners, and policy makers, supporting members through the provision of conferences and events, grant funding and awards, global networks and publication platforms. Regional Studies is one of 6 journals they produce and is a leading international journal covering the development of theories and concepts, empirical analysis and policy debate in the field of regional studies. First published in 1967, the journal publishes 12 issues each year and is a Q1 journal in multiple disciplines.

John is a Reader in Human Geography and is Research and Impact Director having worked at the University since 2006. John’s research interests lie within the broad scope of political-economic geography, with a specific focus on cities and regions.

John will be working alongside Editor-in-Chief Professor Jennifer Clark of the Ohio State University, and fellow Deputy Editor-in-Chief Professor Ben Derudder of KU Leuven, Belgium.
